Ernest H. McCoy has not had any complaints filed against him with any known governing authority. He has served several hundred clients during more than three and one-half decades of patent practice, but he cannot authorize any prospective applicant/client to contact his existing clients. It would interfere with the attorney client privilege and such contact with a client might also interfere with a conflicts of interest investigation which must be performed before accepting new clients.

Mr. McCoy has been named as a party defendant in a malpractice suit only one time in nearly 40 years of practice and that was as a co-defendant in a suit against a former partner. The allegations against Mr. McCoy were dismissed with prejudice to the plaintiff.
